An original design of a mining vehicle built by a space colony in need of a remedy to their catastrophic pandemic affecting their civilization. The antidote to their disease lies in the fruit atop tall treetops on a nearby moon. Therefore this mining vehicle was built with sharp claws and long arms to extract the juice of the remedy fruit efficiently. After the civilization recovered from the horrific pandemic, the robots were redesigned with ornamental gold decoration (shown below) to reflect their prosperous and growing society moving towards a better future.
This project began with a concept drawing, and progressed through a 3D model done in Blender which was then retopologized, baked, and UVed. In Substance Painter, Mesh Maps were baked out to drive Lerps in Unreal Engine using black & white noise maps for grunge. It was then animated and rendered as a turntable in Unreal Engine.
